Caring for the whole child.
Jordan River Charity is faith-rooted. That shapes how we serve — and it never becomes a condition of receiving help.
This is the part of the work that does not reduce to a receipt. It is the ordinary, repeated presence of caring adults in a child’s life. We describe only what genuinely reflects the care our partner provides; we do not claim counselling programmes, staff credentials, therapeutic outcomes or set schedules that have not been documented.
Why this matters
Presence is the programme.
- Children who have lost family need steady adults more than they need programmes.
- Material help without relationship treats a child as a case rather than a person.
- Faith-rooted work should look like patience and presence, not pressure.
- Dignity means a child is cared for the same regardless of what they believe.

Dignity
Help is never conditional.
Humanitarian assistance from Jordan River Charity is never conditioned upon a child professing Christianity, converting, attending a religious activity, or participating in prayer or Bible teaching. Food, water, schooling, clothing and medical help are given because a child needs them. Christian service is offered through love, patience and invitation — never through pressure, leverage or coercion. A child who declines is cared for exactly the same as a child who takes part.
Safeguarding
Care requires protection.
Any adult relationship with a vulnerable child carries responsibility. Our safeguarding commitments cover consent, imagery, privacy, conduct and how concerns are raised. They apply to us, and they shape what we ask of our partner.
