Commitments in effect now

Children's photos, first names, and stories are published only with documented caregiver or guardian consent.
Stories are told with dignity and hope; we do not use images of children in distress to solicit donations.
Every child profile is reviewed for accuracy and kindness before publication, and we correct errors promptly when they are pointed out.
No AI-generated imagery is presented as real field evidence.
We honor requests to update or remove a child's information from the site.

Being developed — not yet in place

A written child protection policy and code of conduct.
Background screening requirements for anyone travelling or serving on our behalf.
A documented concern-reporting route, including how reports are received and escalated.
Data handling rules for any records that identify a child.
Agreed safeguarding expectations shared in writing with our field partner.

Raising a concern

We do not yet have a published reporting channel, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. A named contact and written escalation process will be posted here before JRC sends volunteers or begins direct programming. If a child is at immediate risk, contact local authorities in that jurisdiction.
