Jordan River Charity is incorporated in Ohio and is currently building out its donor systems, policies, and federal tax-exempt documentation. The table below separates what is true right now from the operating standard we are working toward. Nothing in the right-hand column should be read as something already in place.

Legal & tax status

Current state

Jordan River Charity is an Ohio domestic nonprofit corporation; Articles of Incorporation were filed September 23, 2025, and the Ohio Secretary of State documentation is on file. Ohio Attorney General charitable registration was confirmed May 28, 2026. JRC is recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. The organization's determination documentation has not yet been posted publicly on this site.

Target operating standard

Publish the federal determination documentation and legal name / EIN details for donor review.

Financial reporting

Current state

No public financial report has been issued yet. Under the bylaws, the Treasurer is responsible for maintaining financial records and annual financial reporting to the Board.

Target operating standard

A regular written report showing funds received, sent, and designated.

Field verification

Current state

Partner relationship with Anikana Foundation (Jinja / Buwenge) is early-stage.

Target operating standard

Written confirmation from the partner for each transfer, retained on file.
