Mariam

Mariam lived with her single mother, who was unemployed and struggling with poverty. Instead of attending school consistently, Mariam was often sent to the streets to sell items such as bananas so the family could survive. The family could not afford school expenses, and life on the streets placed Mariam at significant risk. Anikana Foundation stepped in to help provide care and give her a better opportunity to continue her education.
