Kwagala’s Story
Both of Kwagala’s parents were affected by HIV/AIDS. Her father died first, leaving her with her mother, who later also died after struggling with depression. Because of the stigma surrounding her parents’ illness, no one was willing to take Kwagala in. Anikana Foundation stepped in so that she would not have to face those circumstances alone.
